Policies
REGISTRATION FEE:
See individual workshop listings for registration fees. Registration fees will include all materials for the workshops and refreshments during breaks.
REGISTRATION:
The $275.00 registration fee must be received 15 business days prior to the start of the Tax Institute you wish to attend. Because enrollment is limited, it is necessary to pre-register. Send registration form and fee to 210 West Hamilton Avenue, #107, State College, PA 16801. We accept payment by check, Visa and Mastercard.
You may also register on-line.
CONFIRMATION:
It is our goal to send confirmation letters within 5 to 10 business days of receiving the completed registration form in our office. In the event of late registration, confirmation and receipt of payment may be mailed after the completion of the workshop. If you have questions regarding your registration and enrollment please contact our office.
AT THE DOOR REGISTRATIONS:
Limited late registration may be available at the workshop on a first come first serve basis. An additional fee of $50.00 will be charged per person for registering at the Institute site.
RETURNED CHECK FEE:
A fee of $25.00 will be assessed on all returned checks.
REFUNDS:
Because our participants are professionals with demanding schedules, the Tax Institutes has a refund policy designed to accommodate those needs. Our refund policy is as follows:
Written notice of cancellation received by the Pennsylvania Tax institutes prior to 10 days of the scheduled conference:
Choice of:
- Full refund less a $50.00 processing fee, or
- Refund of 50% of the registration fee and we will mail you the conference reference materials, or
- Transfer to another scheduled conference if seating permits.
Written notice received within the 10 day period prior to the start of the conference:
Refund of 50% of the registration fee and we will mail you the conference reference materials, or Transfer to another scheduled conference if seating permits.
NO REFUNDS will be issued after the start of a scheduled seminar. However, conference reference materials will be mailed to you.
TAPE RECORDERS:
Tape recorders are not allowed at the Institutes. CDs to accompany the Institute materials can be ordered. Contact the Institute Office for ordering information.
CELLULAR PHONES & PAGERS:
Please turn off cellular phones and pagers while in session rooms.
ROOM TEMPERATURE:
Satisfactory meeting room temperatures are difficult to maintain. Always bring a sweater or jacket to ensure comfort.
COMMERCIAL EXHIBITS:
Space will be available at some locations; contact the Workshop Office for details.
NO SMOKING: Smoking will not be allowed in the workshop area or classroom.
CPE and CFP CREDIT:
CPE Credit will be given for the Institutes, which conform to the standards adopted by most organizations which have adopted the NASBA standards. Institutes are also designed to meet the educational requirements for practice before the Internal Revenue Service. The Tax Institutes are accepted by the CFP Board for continuing education credit.
BEVERAGE SERVICE and MEALS:
Beverage service and lunches will be provided at the Institutes.
SCHEDULE AND INSTRUCTOR CHANGES:
The Tax Institutes reserves the right to change the schedule.
CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE:
These will be available at the conclusion of the workshop. No partial credit will be given. No certificates will be mailed.
TAX DEDUCTION:
An income tax deduction may be allowed for expenses of education (including a portion of travel, meals, and lodging) directly related to maintaining and improving professional skills required in employment.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS:
The Institutes offers its programs to disabled persons on a nondiscriminatory basis. Disabled persons with special needs who are planning to attend our programs are requested to phone or fax our office as far in advance of the program as possible so these needs can be addressed.
